College Glen Estates - San Diego, CA

College Glen Estates Location Map

The Palmer & Krisel-designed subdivision of College Glen Estates in east San Diego, CA was built by the Drogin Construction Company in 1959. The mid-century modern contemporary subdivision is located on Baja Drive, on a portion of and east of 54th Street, including the cul de sacs of Chaparral Way and Baja Court. Consisting of approximately 103 modernist single-story tract homes, the model homes were photographed by Julius Shulman upon completion. As you can see in the recent photos, the front yards of College Glen Estates are pretty shallow, so there's lots of cars on the streets at all times making facade photography slightly trick.
